Upgrading an Educational Institution’s Infrastructure

Case Results

Background:

An educational institution which established in 2010, with a progressive vision for the 2020s. The institution has decided to invest in an upgrade. With a mission to empower students and prepare them to thrive in a rapidly changing world, the school needs to rearrange their network and acquire up to date network devices in order to provide the best educational experience.

Challenge:

The challenge faced in this case revolves around establishing an affordable network infrastructure that meets the school’s specifications. As a high school with limited financial resources, we needed to find a solution for building a high-quality network considering the institution’s budget.
Another major challenge is the security aspect. These days, students are familiar with technology and may have surprising technological abilities.
Therefore, many security incidents such as connecting to unauthorized areas or leak of personal student information can happen. For this reason, the network needs to be secured from external and internal malicious threats.

Solution:

To address the network infrastructure challenge faced by the elementary school, a comprehensive and cost-effective solution is proposed.
In order to make the network cost-effective, we used PoE switches.
– Cameras, printers and IP phones will be connected to the switch instead of adding an external power source.
In order to make the network as secure as possible within an affordable price:
– We used firewalls to prevent external malicious acts against the network.
– VLAN’s separates different devices in the network (such as security cameras, computers, servers, etc.) to protect the network from users gaining access to unauthorized areas such as student files.
– Due to the numerous amounts of devices, we will use a router to enable a L3 communication.

Custom made network infrastructure for a rising law firm

Case Results

Background:

The customer is a dynamic and innovative law firm founded in 2018, with 15 employees. Led by a team of experienced and accomplished attorneys, the firm specializes in various areas of law including corporate law, intellectual property, litigation, real estate and more. Due to that, the firm has several client types, some of which require stronger security features. The firm’s comprehensive expertise allows to effectively address the unique legal needs of individuals, business and organizations across different industries.
In the past few years the firm reorganized the HR in the company and added new attorneys. The firm contacted us in order to upgrade their network and provide a secure and extendable network infrastructure with extension options, to account for new employees.

Challenge:

The law firm is confronted with the significant challenge of upgrading a robust, secure, scalable and cost-effective network. As a rising law firm, they face the dual task of ensuring the protection and integrity of client data while enabling seamless collaboration and remote access for their attorneys and staff. Additionally, due to their HR reorganization they need to address the need for scalability and remote work.
Successfully navigating these challenges required careful consideration, strategic decision-making and tailored solutions to meet the firm’s specific requirements and goals.

Solution:

After meeting with the firm, we started designing a network infrastructure which will suit their specific needs. The first main challenge was to create a secure network in order to ensure the security of client data.
– We added a firewall to prevent malicious actions from the internet
– VPN to enable remote work and utilized VLANs to ensure that every user is connected to the right place without access to unauthorized areas

To make the network both cost-effective and secure we used 3 main switches which divides the network into 3 main areas: offices, servers and security cameras (with a PoE switch). Communication between areas will go through a FW, where security checks will be performed. Security guards of the firm will be in a different section, to be separate from the workers network access and the security guards network access.
Our team of experts works collaboratively to deliver an end-to-end solution that meets all of the client’s needs, from the design to the network devices. Based on each client’s request our team develops a customized solution that includes the implementation of a new network architecture. Training and support are provided to ensure seamless transition and ongoing support.

Creating a Secure Network for a Leading Cardiology Department

Transforming patient care in a leading Cardiology department

Case Results

Background:

The customer is a leading healthcare institution known for its commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients in the region. The hospital provides a wide range of medical services, including specialized departments dedicated to various medical specialities. The department we had the pleasure working with is the Cardiology department. The prior communication mechanism had no department-wide network, and existing infrastructure used legacy technologies.

Challenge:

One of the significant challenges encountered during the work with the department was the need to establish a robust and reliable infrastructure that could support the diverse technological requirements of a modern healthcare facility. In addition, we needed to build a private and secure network while enabling an internet connection. In addition to satisfy the need of a scalable network for future growth of the department.

Solution:

The challenge of building a network for the department was effectively addressed through a comprehensive solution. A team of our experienced network architects collaborated closely with our IT professionals to design and implement a custom designed robust network infrastructure. The solution encompassed several key elements including a well-planned network design that considered the specific requirements of the department, future scalability needs and high security level:
· In order to ensure a secured internet connection, we created a DMZ in which IPS servers will filter in/out data to filter viruses and other malicious threats.
· NAT is used to guard the customer’s privacy by hiding internal IP addresses.
· VLANs are used to prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to different areas in the network.

Our team of experts works collaboratively to deliver an end-to-end solution that meets our client’s needs, from the design to the network devices. Based on each client’s request our team develops a customized solution that includes the implementation of a new network architecture.
